The new Poly-Rib™ Drum

The Poly-Rib™ drum, as we named it, is a revolutionary drum structure with multiple small beaters instead of 4 large beaters. This drum structure provides a better rubbing action on garments, therefore increasing the effectiveness of dirt removal.
It also avoids the occasional problem of tearing of large bed sheets when extracted at very high speeds. This problem is often not pronounced in conventional washer extractors, but as TOLKAR/SMARTEX machines can extract at 400 G, it was getting more pronounced.

Of course the immediate solution to avoid this problem would be to “extract at the same speed as the other washer extractors”. We did not take this short cut answer and instead devoted our energy to solve this problem and enable our customers to take full advantage of all the features of a TOLKAR/SMARTEX machine and came up with our Poly-Rib™ Drum.

It has already been tested in a number of laundries with perfect results. Worlwide patent has already been taken for it. So TOLKAR/SMARTEX will be the exclusive provider of this drum type which has been exhibited and introduced in TEXCARE 2008. The Poly-Rib™Drum will be offered as an option in our LN series.

The new ECO™ Drum
The ECO™ Drum is also our other revolution in washing technologies. As known by many of you, water shortage is becoming the most important problem in our world at present days. So, TOLKAR/SMARTEX has aimed to design completely new system in order to achieve to operate the washing machines with less water up to 35 % and eventually, TOLKAR/SMARTEX is proud to introduce the ECO™ Drum.

With a special circulation system, Poly-Rib™ Drum swallows all the inessential water from the outer drum (The water which is kept in the gap area between the outer drum & inner drum) and injects into the inner drum. Thereby we are able to increase the water level of inner drum up to desired. The considered volume of gap area is as much as 30 % to 35 % of the total water volume which has to be taken into the machine.

The realistic results of its economy has observed successfully during our factory & area tests. Also with the help of multiple ribs, sprinkling of water gives better washing and rinsing effects during all processes. By switching off the circulation system, it is available to carry the excess water into the gap area back and this causes to reduce the water level within the inner drum. That ensures to give better rubbing effects onto the garments due to multiple ribs with less water.

Fruitful of less water usage allows to consume less energy for heating & for drive system, less chemicals due to liquor ratio and less waste water as well. Worlwide patent has already been taken for it. Again, TOLKAR/SMARTEX will be the exclusive provider of this drum type which has been exhibited and introduced in TEXCARE 2008. The ECO™ Drum. will be offered as an option in our LN series.
